Together with the Union of Merchants and Industrialists of San Lorenzo (UCI), added to its strategic location with respect to the provincial ports, Smart-River.com, a port culture and opinion project developed by specialists in the sector, came to light.

 

The presentation of this new platform, which aims not only to be an informative medium but also for port culture, took place on Friday, November 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the Museum Complex of the City of San Lorenzo. Municipal, provincial and national officials were present at the event, including National Senator Alejandra Vucasovich and the Former Minister of Production of the Province of Santa Fe, Alicia Ciciliani. Port workers from Puerto General San Martín and members of the Forum of Maritime Women also attended.

 

The Secretary of Transportation of the Nation Diego Giuliano, the Mayor of the city of San Lorenzo Leonardo Raimundo and the President of the Union of Merchants and Industrialists of San Lorenzo Roberto Yacuzzi had the floor, who agreed on the importance of a tool that allows to know in detail the reality of the Hidrovía for the Region, and a space for news and port culture.

 

In addition, the President of the Rosario Business Association and Secretary General of the Argentine Confederation of Medium Enterprises, Ricardo Diab; the President of the Argentine Naval Industry Chamber, Silvia Martinez; the Secretary for International Cooperation and Regional Integration, Julieta de San Félix; the National Director of Shipping and Port Policy Lic., Roberto Meli, and the Provincial Deputy, Dr. Oscar «Cachi» Martinez.

 

Also participating in the meeting were the Director of Institutional Relations of Smart River, Marcelo Isaac; together with Dr. Oscar Telmo Navós, who talked about the importance of carrying out agreements between Smart River and various universities such as the UAI, the UCA, the UDEMM (University of the Merchant Navy), the Argentine School of Agribusiness and the UNR, among others, to strengthen the sector. The greeting of the Rector of the University of the Merchant Marine Mg. Ing. Luis Franchi.

 

The General Director of Smart River, Ángel Elías, closed the event by commenting on the need for a space for knowledge and port culture and invited the President of the Argentine Chamber of Environmental Dragados, Guillermo Paglietini, and the Specialist in Transport, Ports, to participate. Maritime River and Waterway Law, Mariano Gendra Gigena. Their greeting and participation were added by the Coordinator of RETE Association for Collaboration between Ports and Cities, Roberto Converti; and the Head of Náutica del Sur, Sergio Borrelli.
