MERCOSUL TO LAUNCH SERVICE CONNECTING BRAZIL WITH ARGENTINA AS OF JUNE
It will be completed in two weeks and will offer fortnightly sailings, using the 1,691-TEU “CMA CGM PLATON”
Mercosul Line, the Brazilian subsidiary of CMA CGM, this week launched a new service between Brazil and Argentina called ‘ATLAS’ (Atlantic Shuttle) in cooperation with its parent company. The new service will call at Santos, Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata and Santos. Starting in June, it will also be part of the Imbituba itinerary, which will be served after Mar del Plata, Alphaliner reported.
The ‘ATLAS’ service will be completed in two weeks and will offer fortnightly sailings, using the 1,691 TEU “CMA CGM PLATON”, one of CMA CGM’s Guyana Max 1600 units. These vessels operated in the past, and for many years, on the CMA CGM-Marfret Europe-Guyana-Amazon ‘NEFGUI’ service.
