YPF AND GLOBANT LAUNCH AI-POWERED PLATFORM TO MODERNIZE ENERGY SUPPLY CHAIN
In a significant step toward digital transformation in Argentina’s energy sector, YPF and Globant have introduced Digital Suppl.AI, a cutting-edge platform powered by agentic artificial intelligence designed to reshape the company’s supply chain management.
The initiative is part of YPF’s 4×4 Plan, which focuses on boosting operational efficiency, strengthening competitiveness, and enhancing sustainability across its operations. This joint project aims to eliminate operational bottlenecks, automate key processes, and enhance performance in areas such as procurement, inventory control, contract management, and supplier relations.
Developed in collaboration with Globant, the platform features 46 AI agents grouped into eight agentic solutions, operating under the AI Pods model. This framework—created by Globant—integrates autonomous AI agents with human supervision, enabling faster development cycles, consistent output quality, and increased scalability.
In its initial phase, Digital Suppl.AI will focus on streamlining procurement and inventory processes. By leveraging automation, natural language processing, and large-scale data analysis, the platform will deliver end-to-end traceability, real-time strategic recommendations, and customized user experiences—replacing manual workflows with intelligent, coordinated processes.
Globant’s co-founder and CEO, Martín Migoya, commented:
“It’s an honor for Globant to support such a key player in Argentina’s development. With our AI Pods system—where AI agents work under human supervision—YPF can accelerate innovation and stay ahead of future industry demands.”
Horacio Marín, YPF’s President and CEO, added:
“We’re aiming for Argentina to reach over 30 billion dollars in energy exports by 2031. Execution is now our priority, and to be efficient, we need the right tools. This collaboration with Globant gives us access to those tools.”
Fernando Montero Bolognini, CEO of Globant’s Energy & Telecommunications AI Studio, also stated:
“With Digital Suppl.AI, YPF will gain next-gen AI capabilities and unlock real value in its most strategic supply chain areas.”
In addition to the technical development, the project includes comprehensive consulting services to design a value management strategy and support cultural change initiatives, ensuring that the adoption of new technologies leads to long-term, sustainable transformation.
This partnership strengthens YPF’s operational modernization and digitalization strategy, while positioning Globant as a key technology partner for AI innovation in the energy sector.
