Cosco Shipping announced that services from the Far East to the East Coast of South America (ESA2/ESA) will be upgraded and optimized from May 2024.

 

Following the upgrade, the new ‘ESA2’ service will start in Tianjin on May 5. The itinerary will be: Tianjin – Qingdao – Shanghai – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore -Rio De Janeiro – Santos – Paranagua – Itapoa – Navegantes – Santos – Rio De Janeiro – Colombo – Singapore – Hong kong – Tianjin.

 

Meanwhile, the new ‘ESA’ service will start in Shanghai on May 10 and the itinerary will be: Shanghai – Ningbo – Yantian – Yantian – Hongkong – Singapore – Rio De Janeiro – Santos – Navegantes – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Paranaguá – Santos – Singapore – Hongkong – Shanghai.

 

Upgrade features:

 

Full coverage of the Eastern region of South America: ‘ESA2’ will be upgraded using 14,000 TEUs vessels with 2100 reefer connections, focusing on the Brazilian market. In addition, the ‘ESA’ service will continue to have direct calls in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

 

Increased coverage in the Far East: The new ‘ESA2’ adds the Colombo call in Southeast Asia, increasing the reefer cargo route from the east coast of South America to the Middle East. It also adds a call at Tianjin in northern China, providing a unique direct service from the east coast of South America to Tianjin.
