Tasks that will last for 12 days would not justify changes of reserves for the Panamax locks

From 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 (12-day period), the drainage of the central wall of the Miraflores locks will be out of service due to work as part of scheduled maintenance.

Although drainage maintenance will increase the time required to fill and empty the chamber on both lanes of the Miraflores locks, this should not have a significant effect on the capacity of the Panamax locks to justify a change in the reserve conditions.

Since the interruption of drainage caused by maintenance work occurs at the Miraflores locks, the Neopanamax vessels should not be affected as a result of these works.
