Likewise, containerized cargo grew by 3.4% to 824,700 TEUs.

 

The General Administration of Ports (APG) of Argentina, under the Ministry of Transport, reported an increase of 4.9% in 2021 in the cargo mobilized by the Port of Buenos Aires compared to 2020. Likewise, containerized cargo grew by 3.4%, reaching 824,700 TEUs, an increase of 2.4% in TEUs loaded and 4.3% in landings. 

 

With respect to bulk cargo, there was a 60% increase in landings and a considerable growth in shipments, reaching a percentage of 138.9%. These data are framed within a growth in landings of 18.9% and a decrease in shipments of 8.8%.

 

In addition, during 2021, 7,447,400 tons were mobilized, exceeding that mobilized the previous year, when it reached 7,100,900 tons; the same is made up of 6,542,700 tons of general cargo and 904,700 tons of Liquid Bulk.
